Auricular Hematoma

Trauma to the ear results in blood accumulation under the skin. Lack of prompt drainage and compression can lead to "cauliflower" ear deformity.

Cauliflower Ear

This is result of untreated auricular hematoma. Reconstruction of this problem requires elevation of skin of ear, reshaping of underlying cartilage and fibrous tissue and compression of skin over ear.

Large squamous cell cancer on helical rim of ear. Removal of lesion and underlying cartilage performed with helical rim advancement flap for reconstruction.
