Diagnostic Hearing Testing

We measure hearing in children and adults, from 2 years olds to 100+ year olds.

Hearing Aids

Through extensive training and experience, we have created a hearing treatment protocol that is customized for each patient. We guide you in the selection and use of hearing instruments and strategies for maximum listening benefits. We also offer hearing aid accessories, cleaning supplies and batteries. We offer a 30-day trial period following the purchase of hearing aids.

Custom Earplugs

We provide custom earplugs for sleeping, swimming and protection in noise. We also offer Musician’s Custom Earplugs with special filters that protect hearing while preserving music’s frequency response.

Our Providers

Beth Kopyar, PhD

Dr. Kopyar grew up in a small town in Ohio. She moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1990 to begin working on her Ph.D. at the University of Washington. In 1996, she joined the Puget Sound Ear, Nose and Throat (PSENT) Care Center.

Dr. Kopyar earned her bachelor’s degree from Miami University, Ohio, her master’s degree from Kent State University, Ohio and her doctoral degree from the University of Washington. In her 31 years as an audiologist, she has been an educational audiologist in South Carolina, a graduate student supervisor in the Pediatric Audiology Clinic at the University of Washington and for the past 19 years, a clinical audiologist at PSENT.

Dr. Kopyar appreciates seeing patients of all ages who come to our clinic, from toddlers to seniors. She strives to improve her patients’ hearing and communication by combining counseling with the use of the latest hearing technology. She enjoys the relationships formed from caring for her patients over many years.

Lori Caldwell, AUD

Dr. Lori Caldwell has been serving patients in the Greater Seattle area since 2000 who suffer from hearing loss, tinnitus and receptive communication difficulties. A Seattle native, she received her master’s degree from the University of Washington. She was then awarded her clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Dr. Caldwell joined the team at Puget Sound ENT in April 2014 where she continues her focus on diagnostic testing, hearing loss rehabilitation (e.g., hearing aids and assistive listening devices) and hearing conservation.

Dr. Caldwell’s strong organizational and interpersonal skills allow her to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, medical staff, management, peers and vendors. Dr. Caldwell provides motivation and hope of improving the quality of life for her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Caldwell enjoys a variety of activities with her husband, daughters, family and friends including: cycling, boating, fishing, crabbing, hiking, swimming, camping and exploring our fabulous Pacific Northwest. She also loves gardening, arts and craft activities and reading history or historical fiction.

Dr. Caldwell can be seen out in the community volunteering in a variety of fields such as:

  • Preschool and elementary level guest speaker on hearing science: physics of sound, ear and hearing anatomy & physiology, hearing aids and hearing conservation.
  • School volunteer: Tutoring, reading groups, Science Night, Art Docent program, Field Day, Running Club, fund raisers, classroom and library support.
  • Community P-Patch Children’s Garden assistant.

Véronique Rozon-Gauthier, AUD

Véronique Rozon-Gauthier joined the Puget Sound Ear, Nose and Throat (PSENT) Care Center team in October 2014 and has been the full-time audiologist since January 2015. She earned her bachelor`s degree in psychology and her minor in linguistics from the University of Montreal, Canada. She earned her master`s degree in audiology from the University of Ottawa, Canada. She completed her doctoral degree in audiology at the University of Florida in 2016.

Prior to joining PSENT, Véronique worked in a private practice in Dryden, Ontario, Canada. Her clinical experience includes diagnostic testing, hearing aid dispensing, and counseling.

Véronique’s primary ambition is to lead her patients, step by step, to an improvement in their daily functional listening and communication. Her interpersonal skills and ability allow her to help her patients in a caring and attentive way.

Outside of work, Véronique enjoys spending time with her family and dog. Having grown up in Quebec, Canada, she is fluent in French.
